Tons of Pics

Sister is ALL over the place.  It is not uncommon to find her in the closets playing with shoes.  Oh and don't worry, she doesn't have anything in her mouth, she is just sticking her tongue in her cheek. I checked after freeking out.

 Little Sis' first experience with sand!  She wasn't sure at first, but by the end of the day she thought it was tons of fun. Also here is a pic of Adalynn's first experience with an apricot.

Pockets is finally finding some friends that we see regularly.  They are all kids from a Gospel Community (home group) that we are involved in at church.  Such sweet families!  We are feeling like there might be a place for us in Lubbock after all.

 Oh, and Little Sis is starting to stand.  She will pull to her knees and then if we help her she will pull to stand.  Once she gets up she is usually able to stay up for 5 plus minutes.  She takes a step here or there to regain her balance, but nothing substantial at all. Plus when she is done standing she doesn't know how to get down so instead she just lets go and falls backwards.  (This is one of our outcomes in PT and OT!)

The pink long sleeve shirt and pants was HUGE on her when she was born.  The dress is what she wore when she came home at 2 months old. And the purple onsie and jean shorts is what she wore yesterday!

A Plane Ride and an Injury

Little Sis and I took our first plane to trip to Dallas this month.  It was so much better than driving!  Our plane leaving town was thrity minutes delayed which wasn't bad at all other than being just a tad late for our appointment in Dallas. Sis was perfectly happy hanging around and playing on the floor.  Notice the in the picture the huge windows that she loved to crawl over to and look out.  Once we were on the plane though it was much harder.  I feel so sorry for anyone that was around us.  Little Sis was just a drama queen and wanted everything she could have. Screaming as loud as possiblejust to get your way is typically frowned upon by even the friendliest person.

At the appointment everything went fine. Still no growth, but there have been changes to the shape some.  They are just minor though, so we are praying she will have a growth spurt soon.  After the appointment Little Sis and I went to visit a friend there in Dallas for a few hours before we headed back to the airport.  There were crazy storms though in almost all of Texas though so even though we got to the airport on time for our flight it took several hours, three and a half to be exact, to actually get on the plane.  Thankfully we had amazing passengers that were playing with us in the airport and cheering for Little Sis as she crawled all over the floor and attempted to pull up on the chairs.  Dinner in the airport and lots of toys got us through too.  One good thing about being delayed that long though was that it was WAY past her bedtime so it didn't take long for her to fall asleep once we boarded.  She was such a great baby both in the airport and on the plane!!!

Now for the other half of the story.  You rembere that window where I took the picture of her looking out the window.... Wel this is the result of being a "new crawler" and there being a brick ledge on the floor.  Poor girl looks like she got beat up!~

It looks terrible!  She only cried for a moment though and then went right back to the window to look out again, so it must not have hurt that bad. 

One Week Old

Little Sis' Therapist

Pockets has been so sweet recently and has been trying to help his little sister crawl.  I bet when she starts grabbing his toys soon though, he will wish he hand't!

We went to Grandmothers house to make Little Sis' cake this year.  If you remember I have made Pockets cake each year and so I wanted to continue that tradition with Little Sis, but I will be the first to say that I am not very good at it all and I knew Grandmother was great at it.  Also Grandmother makes the very best icing!

First Birthday

So Littls Sis' first birthday was a huge sucesses. Here are some pictures of it.

Here are the decoration and cake from the party before we began.  It was CRAZY windy so they didn't last long on the table!
