Out of the blue, we got a phone call yesterday from the title company. They said that the bank was wanting to push the house closing to happen sooner than later so they wanted to get some more details from us and wanted to help get us prepared. 

This morning though we didn't hear anything.  At 3pm we got a call that the paperwork would be sent to us within the hour and that if we could get to the notary and all the nescessary documentation and money, we could close TODAY!  That right... close today.  Well luckly Ryan and I had a babysitter lined up and today so that we both could work, so instead we spent the afternoon getting all the necesary peices together and then signing all the closing papers. 

No we still have to wait and make sure in the morning that all the papers are signed correctly and that the financing goes through, but unoffically our house is SOLD! I absolutely loved our house in Carrollton but I don't think I have ever been so happy not to be a home owner.

More House updates

With the end of the month approaching, I'm sure some of you are wondering where we stand with the house.  Well, lets just say that this experience may have scared Ryan and I from ever wanting to buy a house again. 

Last I wrote, I mentioned that the buyers realtor had dropped the ball and that the buyer would remediate the problem immediately.  Well that is true.  The buyer went to the bank and started the paperwork procress, but a huge hurdle came with the appraisal.  Before the appraiser even went to the house to see it, he called Steve (our realtor) and expressed concern about the contract price.  Steve reassured him that our house had been remodeled and sent him several properties to compare.  Well days and days passed with no news.  Steve tried to call the appraiser but he would not talk to us since we were not the buyer.  Steve finally got ahold of someone at the bank who said that the loan process was put on hold since the buyer was waiting  on us but would not elaborate.  Again days passed before Steve got the buyer's realtor to get back with us on details.  This realtor din't have a clue what was going on.  When we finally got an actual copy of the appraisal there were tons of errors in it.  Steve didn't understand it, we didn't understand it, and the title company didn't understand it.  We all had huge concerns and we begging the bank to reconsider, but since it appeared that he buyer didn't care (becuase the buyer's agent didn't request this) they kept ignoring us. 

With all this drama and with the fear that the house might appraise at this significantly low value again even if we found another buyer, we started considering what we would do come July 30th when this contract was up.  Wednesday though we fianlly heard from the bank manager who agreed that the appraisal should be reviewed.  Mid-day Friday we got a call from Steve with news from the bank.  Our appraised value would be raised to our contract price!   Our realtor was stunned. He said that he has never even heard of this happening more or less actually seen it happen. He is a strong man of God but even he was blown away by this miracle just as we were.  Now we have to extend the contact by a few days so that they can finish the paperwork but that's better than the alternative.  We will keep you updated though this next week when we know for sure.

Update on Little Sis

Well sweet Little Sis is doing really well with her therapy.  We have dropped from 8 therapy visits a month to now only 4.  Although we loved her Occupational Therapist, Adalynn has overcome most of the sensory needs at this time so now we are focusing all the work on physical therapy.  We are working on building muscle strength and endurance.  At this time Little Sis is pulling to stand, cruising between furniture, and walking while holding on to a walking toy.

We have our last appointment this upcoming week for her DOC band.  We will get pictures and measurements again to compare to the initial results.  Although Little Sis has not grown and made as much progress as we had hoped (due to her "older" age) her head shape is alot better than before. We will hae more information after her appointment though.  After her exit appointment we will have two more weeks in the helmet here at home and then on Aug 15th we will take it off for good!!  Be looking for pictures of that sweet little thing to celebrate. 

As for talking and other development.... Little Sis is doing AMAZING.  She is talking all the time.  She probably has 6 words but her personality is just crazy.  We call her crazy all the time!  She is defienat but cute, smart but stubborn, and over all just a mess!

Ten Years Ago

Ten years ago Ryan and I started are life together officially!  It has been far from easy but the hard work has paid off.  We are truly the only person that know the other best.  Looking back at the last ten years, friends and co-workers have come and gone but we are the only one that has been there for each other since the beginning.  With all the life struggles and hard times Ryan and I have recently faced, it has been such a great experience to walk in the ways of the Lord together knowing that God brought us together and that He is the only reason we are still together. I feel so blessed to have a man that loves me even on the days that I am not worthy.  Being married at young age is definitely hard, but celebrating your ten year anniversary at 30 sure feels like an accomplishment!

On a less mushy note, here is a picture of Ryan and I from our wedding.  My first thought when writing this post was I need to get on the computer and find that picture, oh wait I need the old flash drive out of the safe so I can find that picture.. Oh wait...I actually have to go dig through boxes of old paper photos and scan that picture!  so no judgement on the quality  :)

Photo updates

So I heard from several of you that some of the pictures/videos were not working.  I know the video links do not show when you get the email update, but if you go to the actual website http://www.pocketsandlittlesis.blogger.com/ you should be able to see the videos. 

This past week though there was a huge problem with the account and I somehow ereased over 1000 pictures with a single click. There weren't gone for good as they were still on my computer, but the website couldn't recognize them so I had to reload all the pictures again. 

With that said, I am sorry up front, but I didn't not re-link ALL the pictures from the last year.  Instead I just corrected the pictures and videos from the last week or so.  If there was a particular picture you were looking for, please let me know and I can send it your way. 

Again, I am sorry!!!! I have learned my lesson and won't be ereasing pictures in this manner ever again!
