Fall Fun

 

Spent the afternoon carving pumpkins in the backyard.

 

Caleb didn't carve a pumpkin, but he did hang out and watch.

 

The kids got to pick their face cutouts.  Why yes Adalynn did ask for a sad face.

What a handsome young man!

 

 We also got to get dressed up for "Oak"toberfest at William's school

 

No carnival is complete without a cupcake!

After all the fun we still came home for more.  We got to eat dinner in the living (maybe only the third time ever) and watch the tech game. 

 

It was a great day!

5 Months old

This sweet precious boy is so absolutely amazing.  I am totally in love with him.  I can't believe he is already 5 months old. It makes me sad to see him growing up so quickly.

We are still in cloth diapers and actually it isn't nearly as bad as we had thought.  He sure looks cute in them too!

Here is the picture with his giraffe for comparison when he was born.  This is also the same chair that we used to take pictures for William and Adalynn in so someday when I get a moment to breath (like in ten years) maybe we can get those pictures out of the bottom of the closet and compare. 

Caleb is finally pushing up while on his tummy.  He isn't rolling over or scooting yet, but why would he need to when he has tons to see all around him with two big siblings and someone to bring him anything he wants!   Also mom isn't really too interested in growing up any faster than he has to.  

 Seriously?  Isn't this just precious?

Fun Run

We didn't sign William up for an particular spots this fall mainly becuase we forgot the deadlines, but William and Ryan have been playing golf as often as possible.  William also asked to sign up for a Fun Run that his school was doing a fundraiser.  He didn't practice and instead just got out there and run.  He did really well though.  He was the last one to leave the start line (startled by gun shot) but passed maybe half the kids in his age range before the 3/4 mile finish line.

 

With the other two kids I spend weeks planning and preparing food.  This time I around I swore that I was in no hurry to start solid foods and was just happy to nurse exclusivily.  well the other night at dinner Caleb would not stop reaching for our food and just staring us down as we ate.  I was sick that day and a friend had brought us some chicken and vegtable soup so I took a few of the carrots and blended with the broth and gave it to Caleb.  He ate the entire thing!!!

 

Since then Caleb has had a few other meals but this time around it is just whatever we have hanging around that he eats rather than planned and prepared meals.  Mainly he eats the bananas that get too brown for the rest of us. He doesn't get solid food everyday but he does enjoy being a part of the family meals as often as possible.

William in general

William is an AMAZING young man.  He is growing up so fast and learning so much.

Ryan and him have been able to go hunting a few times and William is getting coming out of his shell more.

At school, William is a rock star!  He loves school and has an absolutely amazing teacher. 

He is one of the top readers in the class so he this particular day he was reading to his peers before dismissal.

He is still super silly though.

We recently got a puppy per William's request.  Maggie is a true puppy and gets into everything, but William loves her!

Adalynn in general

Adalynn... uh... Adalynn...

What should I say about Adalynn.....

 

Well she is CRAZY and giving us a run for our money! 

 

She fell off her bike a few weeks ago and had to go to the Emergency Room.

Not a great picture, but she did have to get three stiches to close the wound.  She is the first of any of the kids to have to go to the ER and I am sure this won't be her only time there.

 

She is loves to dress up several times each day and especially likes to wear William's cowboy boots and his hat. 

 

We have tried using curlers in her hair....

but obviously we haven't got it all worked out yet.

 

 

She still manages to melt my heart each and every day though.  She is so beautiful and so much fun!
