Crazy Hair

Decided to have Crazy Hair Night after bath today.  It allowed me to get a cute picture of Pockets and Little Sis together too!

8 months old

I am late again in getting this out there, but I guess better late than never right?

Little Sis is 8 months old!!! She is eating solid foods like a champ.  Her favorite is sweet potatoes but she also likes peas, carrots, plums, and yogurt.  She is eating three meals a day and then munches on crackers and such during the day too.

Other momumental things this month is that she started sitting completely independently.  She has also gotten two new teeth! 

 I got a few pictures of Pockets too!

It was the kidos first day of school today.  We picked a mothers day out program that is just down the house and both kids seemed to like it.  Pockets had a great time making new friends and getting to play with new toys. Little Sis did well too.  She napped well and ate well too.  Everyone really liked both of them and nothing but compliments. 

I didn't want to put them into distress this morning by taking a first day of school picture but I did take some pics this afternoon.  Like usual though Pockets would not let me take his picture but I got a few of Little Sis just because she had no other choice.  She wasn't happy about it though as you can tell!

She did finally get a better attitude! She loves playing in the mirror.

Then we got this beautiful picture.  It doesn't even look like her.  She looks so big in this picture.  It reminds me of a black and white picture I took of Pockets several years ago. He was only one year old in this picture but looks so much older. 

Well hopefully next time you can get to see more pictures of Pockets, but don't hold your breath!

Christmas Day

We enjoyed Christmas at home for the first time since Ryan and I have been married!  It was really nice to be in our own beds and just the four of us for several hours in the morning.  Pockets got a scooter from Santa this year, but Ryan and I may or may not do "Santa" in the future so we are down playing the excitement some. 

We were able to see lots of other people during the holdiay weekend though too.  We saw all of Ryan's family either on Christmas Eve or Christmas day.  The picture below is of all the Grandkids on his side of the family.

Happy Birthday Jesus

As part of our new traditions Pockets and I made a birthday cake for Jesus on Chrismas Eve.

Then we ate our birthday cake and drank apple cider for breakfast on Christmas Day.

SNOW!

We had our first snow experience both on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  We had a beautiful snow all day Chrismas eve, but it was still too warm for any of it to stick. The snowflakes were huge and just floated down slowly!

It continued to snow all night long though, so when we woke up on Christmas morning we had a backyard full of snow.

Compared to last years snowman in Dallas, this one is signifantly bigger and much stronger.  Granted we had to use almost all the snow in the whole backyard, but was a blast.
